Curiosity

My friend and I were headed over towards the girl’s cabins.  It was night and very dark because we were in the forest.  Everyone was told to stay by their cabins for the weekend but the curiosity wandered off and found us like it always does.  Curiosity knew we wanted to sneak off so he waited for us in the trees until we got there.  He knows that everyone can feel him in the back of their mind so he’s never in one spot at the same time.  It was cold and you could hear the cracking of dry leaves and twigs after every step.  After each step I got more and more anxious and as soon as I came within sight of one of the cabins, I heard one of the parent volunteers yell “Who’s back there?”  And that was our cue to run back to our own cabin.

I chose this picture because in this vignette my friend and I were curious as to what was going on in the girl's cabins

It was a hot summer day and like every little kid, I got bored.  I asked my parents if I could go outside and I happily walked out the door.  The first thing I did was walk over to my closest friend at the time house.  I knocked on the door with a loud bang.  When he opened the door I asked if he wanted to hang out.  When he came outside he brought cheese with him.  He said that today we’re going to go house to house and try selling cheese.  I went back into my house, snuck to the refrigerator, and grabbed as much cheese as I could carry.  Immediately we went to our first house and knocked on the door with a loud bang.  They opened the door and we tried to be the best salespeople we could be.  When they said no I was enraged, but we just moved onto the next house.  We walked up the steps and I knocked on the door with a loud bang.  This sweet old lady answered the door and had a grin on her face the whole time.  Because of the smile I thought for sure she would buy some cheese.  The second I heard no come out of her mouth I wanted to give up.  My friend suggested we go to a couple more houses and I agreed.  We went to a couple more houses getting the same result every time.  As we approached our last house hoping it would be a buying customer, the curiosity was a raceway zooming around my head.  The curiosity got to me so much I didn’t realize the house we knocked on was someone that knew us and our family.  When she answered the door she asked what we were doing, so we told her we were selling cheese.  As soon as we told her that, she called our parents and our sales career was over.

I chose the picture and song because they fit along with what my friend and I were trying to get
